NOS:

MAC address:
They are unique addresses that connect to another network and are assigned by the NIC manufacturer and are fixed addresses. It is made of twelve characters; the first six characters are the manufacturer ID and the last six characters are the NIC.
To identify a device connecting to a network you need to know the MAC address and IP address
