Revenue numbers show that from U.S. soccer's reported numbers last year USWNT generated over 16 million dollars for the confederation and the USMNT put them 2 million dollars in debt.
With so much success around recent, and past wins, as well as increase of popularity they have become the largest voice in fighting for equal pay.

The injustice we as fans and supporters are now seeing needs to invoke a sense of responsibility to step up and help fight for these female athletes, as they can no longer fight this on their own.

As a competitive female athlete and specifically soccer player this issue brings up similar feelings of anger and frustration regarding the unequal pay
With little to no role models in female athletics, they serve us icons for younger generations, which furthermore sparks feelings of support and encouragement from many ranges of generations
