Molluscs
Soft body that in many species it protect by shells
3 main groups 1- bivalves 2-Gastropods 3-Cephalopods
ex: octopus ,
1- The bivalves, represented here by a file calm.
2-The gastropods , represented by a land snail.
3- The celphlapods ,represented by an octopus.
Arthropods
Making up the largest animal phylum. Characterized by having legs made up of movable section connected by joints -spiders ,scorpion.
Chelicerates :spiders ,mites and scorpions
Two body segments - a cephalothroax and abdomen.
six pairs of jointed appendages
*no antennae
Myriapods : millipedes and centipedes
Each segment has one or two pairs of legs
Have a single pair of antennae and, in most cases , simple eyes
*Live in the habitats , under legs or stones

Fish
Fishes are one of the groups of animals that only lives in water ,they have gills to obtain dissolved oxygen from water. ex Trout , bass
1- The sea lamprey is thought to be the most ancient of all living vertebrates .it is jawless and has a cartilaginous skeleton .
2-The cartilaginous fish include the sharks and rays , like this manta.
3-The bony fish include the vast majority of earths current fish diversity such as Ontario pumpkinseed sunfish.
Amphibians
The first tetrapods to appear and live a portion of their life cycle on land were the amphibians. ex; frogs and toads ,salamanders
Two major group of amphibians in Ontario is
1-bullfrogs
2-salamenders
Reptiles
Reptiles have body scales that create a water proof barrier that helps prevent dehydration in dry air. lizards , snakes ,turtle crocodile.
Four major group of reptiles are
1-snakes
2-lizards
3- turtles
4-corocodilians
Birds
Birds are on of the another group of animals that they can fly with their
two major of bird group
1- small and big song birds
2-ostriches witch are the largest birds in the worlds and most lives in deserted and grasslands.
Mammals
Mammary glands produce secret milk to nourish developing young. in some cases males produce milks for their child's.
ex: elephants, humans
1-Monotermes- egg-laying mammals
2- found in Australia and New Guniea
Marsupials_1- pouched mammals
2-have a short gestation period
Placental mammals 1-have a placenta
2_have a grate diversity in species and structure.
