        In this type of government people do not choose the ruler.
        
        There are mainly two types of monarchy government
        
        Constitutional Monarchy
        
        The monarch rules with guide of a constitution.
        
        Absolute Monarchy
        
        Here the ruler has absolute power and he/she cannot be questioned.
    - - In this type of government, people have every right to participate in their own government. They choose their leaders and decide on how to be governed.
        
        In a democratic government, every adult citizen of a country, rich or poor, man or woman, educated or not, has aright to take part in his/her government through voting.
        
        This is called as the Adult Universal Franchise
      - What are the key elements of a democratic government ?
        
        Participation
        
        The main way in which citizens participate in the running of their country is through voting. During elections, people choose leaders to represent them. These representatives take decisions on behalf of the people. People may also participate by taking an interest in the working of the government and by criticizing it when required. This may be through rallies and organizing signature campaigns.
        
        Conflict Resolution
        
        Conflicts occur when people of different cultures, regions or economic backgrounds do not agree with each other or when some among them feel they are being discriminated against. In a democratic world, it is the role of the government to sort out differences.
        
        Equality & Justice
        
        A democratic government must treat all its citizens equally regardless of their religion, region, race or gender. When inequality is realized in any region or community, conflict is likely to occur and eventually damage peace and security of the country.
