Little Peanuts-Good Idea?
Solves Problems?
Yes-There is a need for flexible scheduling with the amount of days the child will be in your care.
Yes- I would offer flexible payment options. Example: Weekly or bi-weekly
Yes- There needs to be more options for flexible times on drop offs and pick ups
Fits Behavior?
Yes- It's a slight change, however not dramatic enough to scare off parents.
Yes- The basic setup of a daycare will remain the same, including the teaching, that parents will appreciate.
Yes- This will be, I believe, a strong chance that it'll take off quickly as long as I can market it correctly.
Significant Savings?
Yes, because parents could have options with how/when they pay
Yes, because I will allow them to pay based off how long the child is in my care and not a flat rate weekly
Yes, it sounds as though I wouldn't make much, but word of mouth would increase my numbers and therefore profits.
Talk to People
I have spoken to parents with young children who agree this is a great idea.
One of the biggest wants for parents is a flexibility in how many days a week the child will be in the daycare.
I plan to also do some online research from parents to find out costs on current daycares
obsolescence
This is not a fad. People will always have children in need of care
With todays economy, more parents have to work outside the home therefore needing regular childcare
Every business has a risk of failing, however, I feel it is low with this business model
Real Need?
Yes- People wouldn't actually pay more for my product, however, I could get more children to watch because of the affordability of it.
Daycares need to offer more flexibility with scheduling
There is absolutely a need for this type of childcare now
