Triangle Trade- Trading systems between Americas, Africa, and England
First leg: Manufactured goods taken from Europe to Africa to trade for slaves
Second leg: Slaves taken from Africa to Americas
Third leg: Raw materials taken from Americas to Europe
Cash Crops and Plantation System- increased slave trade. They get these crops from other countries and trade with them.

Power/ Authority
Negro act of 1740- Increased control over slaves ...included new restrictions on slaves (could not meet, read or write, etc.)
Slave codes- prohibited slaves from gathering without white supervision, learning to read and write, and carrying guns
Regulators- Citizen group that provided LAW, ORDER, AND JUSTICE in upcountry. has authority over peoples actions

Conflict and change
Because the the rebellion There became a Slave Code, witch said that slaves can not travel without papers of documentation and permission from master. cant raise own food to make money
Negro act of 1740 came into place because of the Stono Rebellion as well. That stated that slaves could not meet without supervision.

Upcountry- Substance farmers, less educated, few slaves, feared Indian & animal attacks
Lowcountry- Settled 1st, Charles town= Capital,Most Representatives were from here, Planters lived here
African slave culture- Art- Music,dancing,crafts. Education- lessons valued through stories. Religion- Gods relating to nature or Muslims or Christians
