If you moved to South Carolina in the colonial times you would probably move to Charleston because of its location it is on the water to make it easy to grow crops and get water, and there are many people which means many businesses and many jobs!
The location of North America was attractive to explores because of the natural resources like gold and silver. There are also many different furs found there which were very valuable in Europe.
Because of there conditions of the water the low country of South Carolina is known for there famous Carolina Golden Rice.

Because of conflicts between African tribes the prisoners of war were traded for goods to the Europeans.
Because of conflicts between settlers and Native Americans the settlers decided to not fight them but befriend them to learn how to survive there.
Conflicts with the indentured servants caused the states to bring in slaves to work for them to boost the slave owners money.
