location and geography
Your life style would also differ based on where you lived in South Carolina. If you lived in the low country there were many wealthy, educated people, but if you lived in the upcountry not as many people would be rich and educated.
The triangle trade was also influenced by the geography. You could only grow natural resources in the colonies, these natural resources had to be sent to England, from England man-made items would go to Africa, lastly slaves would be sent to the colonies from Africa.
Based on where you lived in the colonies you would be living different then others. For example, if you lived in Southern colonies there was a lot more plantations and farming but if you lived in the New England colonies, there would not be any farming opportunities.

global connections
Another example of global connections is the fact that three different countries came over to the new world without making plans together. All of these countries were connected in the fact that they both started colonies in the new world.
South Carolina's government was an example of global connections because when they got rid of a proprietor system they went to be a royal colony. This means they were ruled by a king that lived across seas..
One example of a global connection was the triangle trade, three different continents were connected through one trade route and it helped all three places to be successful.

power and authority
Power and authority was shown when the propietors were not working as a government so they went to the man with the most authority, the king.
Another example is how during the regulator movement there was not a lot of authority but then when the circuit court act came into place there was much more power to the government.

One example of power and authority is how the white men had authority over the African American slvaes.
