Unit 1 themes
Conflict and change
Stono rebellion is an example of conflict and change because when the slaves rebelled it caused for slave codes to come out and limit their freedoms even more.
-
Another example of conflect and change is when in the Upcountry they were taking law into their own hands by killing or beating people up. So they sent regulator up there to set up court houses and recreate order.
The last example of conflict and change is after they started sending regulatos to the up country the entire state fekt neglected by the porpriters and becaause of this they switched to a royal government where the kng is in charge.
Location/Geography
The second location is the New England colonies the geography of this location is near the coast and it tends to be colder during the year more so than any of the other colonies.
The last and final location is the middle colony which was largely agricultural, farms in this region grew numerous kinds of crops, most notably grains and oats. And the weather was cold in the winters and hot in the summers.
The first example od location and geography is the southern colonies which were a warm climate with a lot of open land. Because of this it was great for farming and growing cash crops like rice, indigo, and tobbaco.

Global Connections
The second global connection is that many people from all over europe were coming to the colonies to get freedome. That is a global connection because lots af different people from different place are all ending up in one place.
THe last global connection is all the different parts of the americas that were split up between the three different countries. That is a global connection because three powerful countries are all compeating for the same places and all end up around each other.
The first global connection is triangler trade where the americas took raw materials to Europe and were given manufactured good. They took those goods to Africa and trade it for slaves after getting that they went bak to the Ameriacs.

Power/Authority
Another example of power and authority is when we learned about in Triangler Trade and the Americans were taking the slaves from Africa to the Americas. They were using the power that they had to get them on the ship and asross the ocean.
Thee last example of power and authority is after the Stono rebellion they created slave codes that limited the slaves freedoms even more than they already were so thesettlers used their authority to limit the freedoms of the slaves.
A example of power and authority is when the settlers were just coming and on their new land. And there were Native Americans because of this they used their power to push they out.
