Global Connections
The Spanish developed a connection with many South Americans. They conquered the lands, and changed the people. Many of these countries speak Spanish because the Spanish took over their land.
Our language is also an Global Connection. When the English took over the 13 Colonies our language passed down, because the colonists that settled there only spoke that language. It passed down to today.

Another global connection is between Europe, the Americas, and Africa. They Had a global connection through trade. The global trade benefited the Americas and England the most, because most of Africa's population was taken, it was set back on time.
Power and Authority
Another example is how the Europeans were superior towards the Natives, and Africans. When the Europeans first settled in thee Americas, they enslaved the natives. This shows us that the Europeans had more Power over the natives.
The last example I have is how the Colonists were superior to the Africans. During the triangular trade, the colonists were superior towards the Africans because they bought them. The colonist abused their powers and started mistreating the slaves that worked hard for them.
One example of Power and Authority, is the King compared to his people. For example, the King has the power to control where the goods of the colonies go.

Location and Geography
The Geography of a colony also affects the way they earn money. For example, the New England colonies earned money by woods craft. While, the southern colonies made money by growing cash crops and selling them.
The Location and Geography of a place can also determine how the colony would be run. For example, In Southern Colonies you would need to buy more slaves to keep the Plantations running. Since land up in the North was not as fertile and the climate was not suitable for farming, there would not be a high demand for slaves up there.
Location of where certain colonies were affected their clothing and food choices. For example If someone was living in the New England Colonies, they would wear thicker clothes to help keep their bodies warm in the winter time.
