♡ A
Use a before words, abbreviations, acronyms, or letters that begin with a consonant sound.
EXAMPLE: A criminal [case.]
♡ AN
Is used before words, abbreviations, acronyms, or letters that begin with a vowel sound.
EXAMPLE: An extraordinary ruling.

♡ PREDICATE
The part of the sentence that contains the action or state of being (verb)
EXAMPLE: My brother and I played computer games after lunch.
♡ OBJECT
The person or thing affected by the action of the subject.
EXAMPLE: My friend wrote the cases.
♡ SENTENCE
A group of words that makes sense all by itself. A sentence always begins with a capital letter, ends with punctuation mark, and contains a subject to a predicate.

♡ COMPOUND SENTENCE
A sentence containing two or more simple sentences, joined together by a comma or a conjunction.
EXAMPLE: I like to cite the rulings of the Supreme Court and my friend loves to find the relevant facts.
♡ COMPLEX SENTENCE
A sentence consisting of one independent clause and two or more independent clause.
♡ DECLARATIVE SENTENCE
A sentence that states an opinion or fact
EXAMPLE: The Criminal case has 45 pages.
♡ IMPERATIVE SENTENCE
A sentence that gives you command.
EXAMPLE: Kindly read all the cases assigned.
♡ INTERROGATIVE SENTENCE
A sentence that asks a question and ends in question mark.
EXAMPLE: How was your case digest?
♡ PARAGRAPH
One or more sentences in a group related to the same idea or topic.
EXAMPLE: Hi, I'm Casielyn Y. Buena, graduated at New Era University with a bachelor degree of AB Political Science and now I'm enrolled as first year law student (JD) in the same university.
