Schordinger equation
Wave function
Quantum numbers
N (Energy level)
Groups of electrons with similar energies known as shells. e.g n=1 has 2 electrons, n=2
I
Denotes the shape of orbital, 0 = s, 1 = p, 2 = d, etc.
MI
This denotes the position of the orbital in space, can be -1, 0 or 1 or more and it does not denote charge but rather is a mathematical representation of the orbital in space
S
This denotes the apposite spin umber of electrons, usually in orbitals 2 electrons occupy with same numbers, i.e apposie charges this can be eitehr 1/2 or -1/2

Solving the equation gives us the wave function which informs us about the energy and position of the electrons which has wave like properties.
