Intelligent EXperience
Modules
Document Management System
Visualization/public dashboards
VAE slides were very nice
should have visual/tabular map/fd/docs or sort that is auto generated showing how everything is connected,
So the user can easily see all their devices and how it is connected
Tenant feedback and processing
to improve user experience and the help decide where to spend money on... help to see where to $ when considering they are the 300 of the 3/30/300 rule of thumb.
Assett
BMS/EMS/DDM/IOT Sensors/ETC are also all assets
Requirements
Cyber security
IeX helps bring 1 point for the internet and integration layer as opposed to dozens/hundreds of devices and systems having their own connection
User experience
$3/$30/$300 per square foot for energy/building/salary
More money in keeping the $300 happy
Considerations
calls/size. think about data you want to store. do you need all?
Steps:
Data collection
Data int & analytics
We want to be a technology partner and get items 1 and 2.
We can provide with 3 and 4 but enables others to as well on a uniform, modular and maintainable platform.
need to sell ourselves and have the expertise as a MSI. "an integrator, not a vendor"
"should be be aligned with a product and be agnostic"
Data ownership. who owns it?
Need to adopt a tagging model, Haystack/Brick?
Jon "19 months for IOT financial payback, anything more is a failed project"... i guess if financail is the driver of the project.
"Shouldn't be reliant on an internet connection". things should operate when internet is down...
Pitch
Data is like lego, people want more but don't know what to do with it. We will help them build the lego,
Dexus Jon talked about getting temporary sensors to give insights on where to spend money on. i.e. zone/supply temp maps. in duct etc
IeX (cumulocity) enables an open and secure platform for MSI's to make their (new) buildings smart without having a new integration layer and systems for each building/MSI.
enables existing buildings to be smarted
allows MSI's to create their own apps/interfaces for their buildings
From an operation point of view, one integration platform will help control costs of maintenance of smart buildings (more systems make this more complex).
It will also allow to have a vendor that can maintain the system instead of several maintaining several systems which will be hard to manage and costly.
In the building services space, IT and OT don't normally work well with each other. SW AG and BSA bring expert domain knowledge to both areas that need to come together for smart buildings and integration platforms.
