Coach Miles
Relationship: First basketball coach
He promised to be a role model to me in my younger years
Miles taught me the fundamentals of basketball along with lots of other things, like how to dap up. He went back to college to complete his degree and is a single father of two.

Relationship: AAU Team/Brothers
My teammates, my coach and I promised to always work together to reach a common goal of success and friendship
Even though we fight sometimes, we've been through a lot together so we'll always have love and respect for each other

He promised to be a good father figure to me and a trusted adult who I can always ask for help
He has always supported my family and me, whether it be financially or showing up for me and my sister's games or performances.

Relationship: They are my unofficial godparents, they have been close family friends for like 20 years

He promised to be a role model to my sister and me
Dave used to live in our basement when he was in his 20s and when we were younger. He started a family and moved to Norway, where his wife is from. He has two sons who are 4 and 6. This summer he paid for my sister and me to visit him in Norway. It was one of the coolest experiences of my life up to this point. He fulfills his promise by never ceasing to amaze us with his generosity and kindness

We do this by competing against each other in practice and workouts
