This plant provides us with Vinblastine and Vincristine medicines. They are a set of anti-mitotic and anti-microtubule agents which basically means that they disrupt the process of mitosis by pulling apart chromosomes during their cell divisions. It also increases the vulnerability of the cancerous cells for following treatments with other drugs.
