The Web of Promises By Sammy Toor
Pete (dog)
My dog promises to be there for everyone in my family. He is always waiting outside for someone to play with him, and then it is such an enjoyment to do so because he has so much energy that rubs off on you.
My dog is always there when you need him and he would never leave your side, he always has an energy that makes you excited to see him and play with him.
Karan Kang (cousin)
Karan is the younger cousin out of my mom's side cousin and is also really close with me. He is also very energetic, and tells really funny jokes that makes him so fun to be around.
Karan promises to be a good cousin and friend, we are basically like brothers and pretty much inseparable when we are together, he is a great outlet because he always tells funny jokes and has great reactions when you tell ones back.
Raman Toor (mom)
My mom promises to always be there for me and give me support whenever I need it. She loves me at all times, and always makes sacrifices for me.
My mom fulfills these promises by taking me where I need to go and always being there for me. She drives me places, and picks me up afterwards. She provides for me and loves me.
Andrew Fontillas (friend)
Andrew Fontillas has been my friend since fifth grade and he promises to support me in whatever I do, he promised that I could trust him and he could trust me, and that we would stay in touch even after high school, and that we would have each other's backs.
Andrew does this by being supportive in school and volleyball, which we both play. Andrew helps me with my homework when I need it because we have some classes together, and during volleyball season, since we both play the same position we always warm up together and practice together.
Owen Arnst (friend)
Owen is one of my best friends at Moreau, we always hang out during breaks and lunch because it's really fun, I always make him laugh and he does the same to me, we have a only one class together but we still hang out a lot.
Owen keeps his promises to me by always being there, he is always there for me to talk to and helps me with classes when I need it, we play games together and it's really fun. He was one of my first good friends at Moreau last year and most likely will be through the next three years.
Jess Toor (dad)
My dad promises to always love me and be there for me. He provides for me and makes sure that I'm always doing good. My dad is mainly the one who I do everything with, we practice together, we go dirt biking together, and he drives me to school and picks me up from practice most often.
My dad keeps these promises by doing things with me, taking me places and always loving me. He teaches me how to do things like shave. We practice sports together at home so that I can improve.
Ami Kang (cousin)
Ami is my oldest cousin on my mom's side and him and his brother are my favorite cousins. They live in Canada so I don't see them often but when I do it is so fun. My cousin promises to be there and support me in the short time we have, we have so much fun in the days that we spend together, and have so many laughs and high energy.
He keeps his promises by being present in our times together, and always being happy so that we can have a good time, he has a high energy that can rub off on the people around him, that I enjoy.
Troy Bembo (Friend)
Troy was one of my best friends at Holy spirit and we still remain friends today. Troy is always there for me and we would always have each other's backs, and support each other.
I remember Troy as one of my closest friends who I would always hang out with, I would always have his back and know he would have mine, we would always laugh and talk together because it was always so fun.
Daniel Gatchalian (Friend)
Daniel has also been a friend of mine since fifth grade and I met him in my junior high school, Holy Spirit. I played basketball with him in CYO and he promised to be a great friend, and always help me with things, we would talk a lot, and I would always have fun when I am with him.
Daniel keeps these promises because he still is always there for me, even though we don't go to the same school anymore we still talk a lot and play games together, and he always knows how to make me laugh.
Matthew Beltran
Matthew was one of my first friends at Holy Spirit. I transferred there in fifth grade and out of all the new people he was the first one to introduce himself to me, we became great friends from that time, and now he attends Moreau so we are still close.
Matthew has a lot of classes with me so we study together a lot, he is a good friend and is always there for me, as I said he was one of my first friends in a new school that was full of new faces.
Sunny (bird)
Sunny was a bird that was very good for the family. One day when our family was doing yard work Sunny landed on my mom's shoulder, and we took her in because there were no signs that said she was missing and we had asked around if the bird belonged to anyone. She was always there when I was growing up and I remember bringing her to a show and tell that did not go well.
Sunny was always there for everyone in our family. She was a source of joy and fun. We taught her how to fly so we would have her fly to each other and land on another person's shoulder. It was very fun having her around in the family
Sukhi Toor (sister)
Sukhi is always there for me and supports me when I need help. She always helps me with homework because she has already been through the classes that I am currently taking. She drives me places and we always have fun together.
As my sister Sukhi promises to be there for me at all times, when I need it and she knows that I am there too. She supports me and helps me a lot especially with homework and school, she shares knowledge with me because she is older and has more experiences.
