The Web of Promises By Andrew Fontillas
MCHS (school)
This school promises to help me throughout my education. Moreau promise me to help improve my studies whilst also keeping my faith strong. This school promised to help keep me in a nice and safe community.
Moreau has put these promises into action by providing me with good teachers that know a lot about their subject. The teachers they provide enjoy the subject they teach, which makes them better teachers. The school also teaches about my faith which helps me. The school’s community is also very nice so it is easy to get along with people.
MCHS Jv volleyball 2018-19 (team)
My volleyball team promises me to work together and to try to grow together as a team. My team promises to help out one another and support each other. We promise not to fight or have any arguments with each other.
Ways that my team makes these promises happen is we help fix our mistakes and we bond together during and out of practice. We help one another if one of us makes a mistake and we try not to get mad at them. We don’t fight with one another and we all get along.
Sammy Toor (friend)
Sammy promised to be my friend and to not betray me, He promised to trust me. Sammy promised to always have my back and to be a good friend. He promises to support me in school and life.
Examples of Sammy putting this promise into action is when he helps me with my school work and homework, helps me when we play volleyball, and has my back in life. Sammy helps me with homework whenever I need it by showing me how to do it if I'm confused. Since we both play volleyball and are the same positions, he helps me with the rotations of volleyball.
Chelsea (girlfriend)
This person promised trust me and to take care of me as my girlfriend. Chelsea promised to stick with me through thick and thin. She promised that we will grow closer together and work as a team
Examples of Chelsea putting these promises into action is each time I trust her with my social media account and we can basically trust each other with anything, Each time one of us seems like we are in a super bad mood, we try to help each other with our problems

Mr. Gonzo (teacher)
Mr. Gonzo, my spanish teacher, promises to educate me more on spanish and he promises to make sure I stay focused on class. He promises that we will be very good at spanish by the end of his class.
Mr. Gonzo puts these promises into action by teaching us a lot of spanish and giving us a lot of assignments so that are spanish skills are strengthened. Gonzo makes sure that we don’t have out our laptops and phones because he wants us to stay focused and on task.
HSS class of 2019(previous school)
My old hss class promised me that we would always be friends and to not grow apart from each other. We promised to always have each others’ backs. We promised to support each other and to be there for one another whenever we need someone to talk to.
My old hss class put these promises into action by keeping in contact with each other. We make sure all of us are doing fine and we check up on one another. If someone has a problem and they need to talk about it, we help them.
Jerico (uncle/coach)
Jerico promises to care for me as family and as a coach. He promises to help me be better as a person and in volleyball. He promises to protect me. He promises to spoil me. As a coach, he promises to make me better in volleyball.
Jerico put these promises into action by caring for me out of and in school by making sure I'm safe. As a coach, he pushes me to become better at the sport.
Holy Spirit Church (my parish)
The promises that make church makes is to help me learn more about my faith. Holy Spirit parish helps me grow in my catholic faith during its masses. They whole parish promises to be together as one family no matter what race or what you look like. We are all at mass for the same reason, to grow as faith; and we all promise to be faithful to God and each other.
Holy Spirit parish puts these promises into action by showing and teaching me more about my faith during the homilies. The priest provides interesting homilies that focus on their life or the life of others and how it connects to God. The parish is one as a family because we all have faith in one another and treat each other with kindness and respect.
Stanley Fontillas (dad)
My dad promises to take care of me and protect me. He promises to spoil me with food and other things. My dad promises to pick me up most days from school. My dad promised to teach me about life what to do in the future
Examples of how my dad puts these promises into action is by making sure im safe and checking up on me every once in a while. My dad takes care of me when im sick since he works in the medical field. Each time he picks me up from school or anything else, he always asks if I want anything to eat and drink. My dad also teaches me how to live life and gives me life lessons

Annabelle Jose (mom)
Promises my mom makes to me is she promises to take care of me and love me. She promises to help me with anything I need help with. She promises to support me with school and life. My mom promises to be my role model.
My mom puts these promises into action by feeding me, paying for my stuff, and putting a roof in my head. She helps me with my schoolwork and helps me stay on task. She has a very good and high paying job and I aspire to be like her.
Mama Jovita (grandma)
Promises my grandma gives to me is to be my personal uber for school. She promises to help me and help around the house. She promises to take care of me no matter what.
My grandma puts these promises into action by driving me to school and sometimes picking me up from school. She helps do my chores and cooks food for the house. When i'm sick and my dad is at work, she is the one taking care of me
Holy Spirit Confirmation (confirmation class)
My confirmation class promises to help grow my faith and become a better person. It promises to help me complete this sacrament and teach me more about the Lord. It promises to help me strengthen my faith in God.
My confirmation class puts these promises into action by teaching me about God, Jesus, and confirmation in general. This class inspires me to become more faithful in Christ.
