The damage will lead to less resources and less chances to live. Some species might get extinct.

Water affects bridges
If a bridge is going to be build standing in water, then it have to be made of rock, not wood because wood can get decompose to stay under water for too long.
Sand affects bridges
If the dirt of that place is too soft, the bridge will be really hard to stay standing, and will slowly sink into the sand and might even collapse causing lots of damage. To counter this the makers of the bridge make experiments to test if the bridge will stand in the area when it is about to be built in.

Which bridge design is the strongest?

In this experiment we have tested which type of truss bridge is the strongest, yet uses the least amount of material. Two of the most used truss bridges are of the Pratt and Howe design. Through our experiment it was found that the bridge design that minimized the maximum compression force was the Howe Bridge.
How do people test bridges? (3)
Then they would have to try if the road on the bridge is flat and if the road will crack when a car is driving at a speed of 120km/h, then the bridge needs to be fixed again.different kinds of cars drive through that bridge and see if it shakes and if it shakes, they would have to check what is the problem and fix it, then they will try it again.
People also make a model first before building the real thing

The Golden Gate Bridge can withstand the largest stress every recorded, even though it can there can't be any exact measurements. It is safe to say it can withstand the greatest stress.

Each type of bridge have some sort of arch ,an arch is a signature of a bridge. All bridges have arch's, the arch holds loads depending on the shape and the material making it.
Truss Bridge is the strongest bridge type that has the strongest structure.

We added too much pressure on to the bridge at last it collapsed. But it managed to hold until the pressure was enough to destroy most other bridges.

It held because it had the string, stuck to the ground by hooks so it had ground support and so using the grounds power it held more pressure then it would have held on it's own.
