promises they make to me: to love me unconditionally and support me through challenges and harships, as well as in successes and achievements.

how they put this promise into action: they sacrifice their time and energy to drop me off/pick me up from long rehearsals and attend all my performances. they also comfort me during difficult times.

promises it makes to me: to teach me about the art of dance and how to be a responsible performer on and off the stage

how it puts that promise into action: our teachers choreograph and teach dances to us during rehearsals and during important tech/dress rehearsals, they provide helpful feedback for those particular dances so that we can strengthen our performances. tech/dress week is also the time they teach us about how to behave properly backstage and how to work around all aspects of the theatre, or space we are performing in.

promises she makes to me: to be a source of happiness and comfort while i'm in school, as well as outside of school (and vice versa). she also supports me through my challenges but also will tell me to stop if my actions affect people in the wrong way.

how she puts this promise into action: she is always excited to see me and is the first person (other than my parents) to congratulate me on my achievements.

how it puts this promise into action: by giving me the freedom to choose which classes i want to take (besides those required) as well as the activities i want to participate in. for example, i got to take dance as a class and be a part of pilipinx student association

how she puts this promise into action: she gives her input on mine/other's ideas, for example when we were deciding which themes to put on the ballot for spirit week, she listed the pros and cons of carrying out each theme. she also is there when I am confused in class or about spirit week and gives me words of advice when I need it.

how she puts that promise into action: when i don't expect it, she will send me a text that simply says ""hey, how are you?" which although is a small gesture, it really makes my day because she voluntarily sent that text and genuinely wants to know how my life is going since we last talked

promises she makes to me: to assist me as well the other members of council in making decisions that benefit our class and to be someone that I can depend on as a council member and as a friend

how she puts this promise into action: she gives helpful tips during leadership class about how we can strategize the choices we make and how that will benefit our class altogether

promises she makes to me: to act as a second mother to me and be a mother figure i can turn to, if for whatever reason I cannot turn to my mom

how she puts that promise into action: she is the first person i contact when I have an issue with my mom other than my dad because she knows my mom very well and can tell me if she had good intentions about whatever problem that arose

promises he makes to me: although he is only 4 years old and doesn't necessarily understand the concept of promise yet, he unknowingly promises to bring me a sense of happiness whenever I see him and bring joy when i am feeling down

how he puts that promise into action: when i am having a bad day and am not in the best mood when i go to see my family, he always greets me by giving me a big hug and asks why i''m sad, and i instantly feel better.

promises they make to me: to support me both as a dancer and as a person, and that we will always work together and push each other to become better dancers

how they put this promise into action: during breaks, we will ask each other about our own individual lives and help each other out when someone is confused about a particular move or count.

promises it makes to me: to encourage me to embrace my filipino heritage by immersing me in various activities that reflect the beauty of the filipino culture

how they put this promise into action: they let me participate in phillipine culture night as well as teach me a traditional dance for culture fest

promises she makes to me: although we don't see each other as frequently as before, she promises to always be someone I can talk to even if we haven't seen each other in a long time and she also promises to support me through my achievements and vice versa

promises she makes to me: to love me as if i were her actual sister and keep that connection regardless the challenges we may undergo

how she puts that promise into action: she treats me like she would treat her sister because the idea of a godsister is that spiritually, we are sister but by means of science, we are not.
