Nursing Intervention
Health education ,provide preoperative education
Reduce risk for infection , sterile dressing to prevent contamination of fresh wound , administering of antibiotic as per doctors prescription
Monitor fluid volume, measure and record tubes and drains monitor vital signs and start oral intake gradually as indicated.
Relief from pain , the nurse should assess the cause of discomfort and provide analgesia for pain relief

Surgical Management
Inguinal, the inguinal approach, with ligation of the processus vaginalis high within the internal inguinal ring, is the procedure of choice for pediatric hydroceles
Scrotal , recommended for non communicating hydrocele
Sclerotherapy , this procedure, is scrotal aspiration and sclerotherapy of the hemiscrotum using tetracycline or doxycycline solutions .
Definition
A hydrocele is a collection of peritoneal fluid that accumulates in the scrotum through a small passage called the processus vaginalis.
Pathophysiology
Hydrocele can be divided into those that represent a persistent communication with the abdominal cavity, fluid excesses are from the abdomen where as in non communicating hydrocele develop scrotal fluid, non communicating hydrocele may result from increased fluid production
Treatmemt
Treatment is usually not required unless the hydrocele is large, treatment may involve surgical excision or needle aspiration
