Elements of a Story!
Plot:
begins when the main character has a problem or conflict.
exposition:
a comprehensive description and explanation of an idea or theory.
character:
the creation or construction of a fictional character.
protagonist
the leading character or one of the major characters in a drama, movie, novel, or other fictional text.
antagonist
a person who actively opposes or is hostile to someone or something; an adversary.
Foil
prevent (something considered wrong or undesirable) from succeeding.
conflict
a struggle or clash between opposing
characters, forces, or emotions
Internal conflict
a stuggle between oppsing needs, desires or emotions within one character
External conflict
physical conflict
climax
the point of greatest emotional intensity or suspense in a plot when the outcome of the conflict becomes known
Falling action
the parts of a story after the climax and before the very end.
Denouement - resolution
the final part of a play, movie, or narrative in which the strands of the plot are drawn together and matters are explained or resolved.
Third person limited
the narrator only knows the thoughts and feelings of one character.
Point of view
a particular attitude or way of considering a matter.
Third person omniscient
the narrator knows the thoughts and feelings of all of the characters in the story
flashback
