PLOT: Marlow is an experienced seaman who tells the story of his journey up the Congo river which leads him to Kurtz, a charismatic man and head of an ivory trading station. He first arrives to the Central Station of the company he was hired by where he meets the manager, a shady carachter who, as everyone else, fears Kurtz's ambitions. He then arrives to the Inner Station to find out that Kurts is praised as a god by the natives and that he has gone on brutal raids in the surrounding territory in search of ivory, but also that he is very ill. The crew decides to bring him back to the Central Station, while they are still on the steam boat Kurtz entrusts Marlow with personal documents about civilizing the natives, he then passes away and Marlow returns to Europe.
