Gas and oil or the petroleum industry is a major industry in the US. Switching from petroleum products and fuels could to other environmentally friendly alternatives could have a negative effect on our economy. Not only is this entire industry with major economical influence at stake but it also supplies thousands of jobs. This could threaten economic sustainability at the cost of saving the eniroment

Since human agriculture CO2 concentration in the atmosphere has grown much faster than previously in time. These emissions are absorbed by the ocean and effect sea life raising the acidity in the ocean. This acidity endangers those with calcium shells which can disintegrate.

Old electronic devises are disposed of incorrectly. They are thrown into the ocean or burned. Releasing harmful gasses and chemicals into the ocean and atmosphere.
