Moving Toward a Unified Germany
By the early 1800s, Germany was so small, comparing the nowadays Germany; so, they tried to make it as big as it is now, but they couldn't until a Strong-Willed Prussian Official, called Otto Von Bismarck, did, in 1862.
Prussia strengthened
It was the most industrialized state in Germany, 'cuz...
Prussia was producing more resources than what the other countries expected, more coal and Iron, and yes, more than Austria though
Prussia was setting Zollverein with other German states that made the trade easier and more viable
Leaving all of that aside, lemme tell u that, finally, Bismarck did what he wanted, to ruin Austria, why do I know?, maybe because I were there?, or maybe because I read it in a page?, who knows, the point is, that I know Why
Austria Weakened
This was caused, in fact, by herself, 'cuz...
First, they refused helping Russia against France and Britain, and lost the majority of their allies
Also, it was defeated by France and some Italian states, so they had to surrender some territories without complaining
The Master Plan
This plan was made by the Prussian Chancellor, Otto Bismarck, for highlight his nation, Prussia, his aims were:
Weaken Prussia's main rival, guest what, it was Austria
Unify the north german states under Prussian Control
Make Berlin the center of German Affairs
Strengthen the position of the king of prussia, William I
Army Reforms
This tells about how Bismarck wanted to build Prussian's army, but, there was a problem to face, the pape', there was no enough money for build one, so, Bismark came to an agreement, to amplify the general taxation
Poor Austria, it was riddled 'till the dead
