The Nature of Force
Combining Forces
-
When the forces arrows are facing/going the same direction the net force can be added the strengths of the individual forces.
When the two forces are facing two different directions, you would have to subtract the two net forces.
-
Unbalanced Forces
Unbalanced forces can cause an object to start moving, stop moving, or change direction."
Unbalanced forces acting on an object result in a net force and cause a change in the objects motion."
-
What is a Force?
-
"Like velocity and acceleration, a force is described by its strength and by the direction in which it acts."
-
-
The length of an arrow tells you how strong the force is, the shorter the arrow the smaller the force.
Force causes an object to start moving, stop moving or change directions.
