Bladder neoplasm
A diseases in which the cells lining the bladder lose the ability to regulate their growth and start dividing uncontrollably. The abnormal growth results in a mass of cells that form tumor.

Treatment

Chemotherapy in the bladder ( intravenous chemotherapy) to treat tumors that are lining the bladder.

Chemotherapy for the whole body to increase the chance for a cure in a person having surgery to remove bladder.

Diagnosis
Cytoscopy, a cytoscope is inserted through the urethra, it has lens that allows the doctor to see inside urethra and the bladder.
Biopsy, a sample is taken for testing.
Urine cytology, a sample of urine is analyzed under microscope to check for cancer cells
Imaging tests, CT scans allows the examiner to examine structures of the urinary tract.

Pre operative
Offer support and reinforcement of the information, involve family member in the preoperative education

Administer bowel preparation as prescribed, clear liquid diet, laxatives, enemas and antibiotics.
