Defination
A group of diseases where there is inflammation and damage of renal glomeruli
It then lead to infection of upper respiratory tract
Causes
Strep throat
Lupus
Polyarteritis
Goodpastur's syndrome
Clinical Manifastations
Weight gain
Hypertansion
Protenuria
Orbital oedema
Upper respiratory tract infrction
Diagnostic studies
Laboratory urine test

Patient must be weighed daily

Phamacology

Provide diuretics to reduce fluid
Diet Therapy
Sodium should be restricted
Proteins should be restricted
High calorie diet should be given
Fluids should be restricted
Health Education
Inform patient about disease process
Advise patient to reduce salt in take
Advise patient to observe urine
Advise patient to take medication as prescribed
