Definition

Clinical Manifestations
Blood in the white part of the eye
Difficulty moving the eye
Numbness in the injured side of the face.
Black and blue bruising around the eye
Swollen skin under the eye
Blurry and decreased vision
Nursing Intervention
Apply cold around the eye to minimize level of swelling
Remove any foreign objects in eye socket
Provide information and support through treatment.
Assess the level of swelling around the eye
Also apply rubs and ice pack to reduce swelling
Surgical Management
Redressing operation have been done
Assess bleeding after post operation
Check the level of pain after surgery.
