Why?

- To make sure all operators are using the same trap parameters
- To apply Automatic Trapping via the Trap Properties palette

:pencil2: Trap: new object with round corners containing paint of trapped object with Blend Mode ‘Darken’ applied.
:pencil2: All created traps are added to Trap Layer and SmartTrapper will always clip image paints to bounding box of trap object.

10.6. Trap Parameters
10.6.1. General
:pencil2: Reverse Trapping: used in metal printing industry or Dry Offset where fluid inks are used and cause natural trap when inks coalesce.
By generating white trap, overlap of opaque inks can be prevented. Reverse Trapping generates white trap in opposite direction of normal trap, causing a white gap between two touching objects.
10.6.2. Pull Backs
:pencil2: Pull Backs: called "stay-away-traps", "cutbacks" or "keepaways". Pull Backs are needed if objects, in rich black or rich spot color, are positioned on light backgrounds.
