Gun Access In The United States
Business owner
Many business owners are pro-gun to help protect them and their business form robbery, but there is a very large group of business owners not allowing guns anywhere near there companies property I don't blame them because of conflicts at work especially in the United States that you see videos of those altercations on the internet.
NRA(National Rifle Association)
The NRA is obviously gun pro seeming they are the National Rifle Association and less strict laws keep them in a good steady business. The NRA is very high when it comes to the second amendment( the amendment that allows Americans to bear arms and stand your ground law so they are very gun pro.
Democratic Party (U.S.A)
A representative for the democratic party said this when asked about gun control."The Democratic Party wishes to see stricter regulation of firearms, especially assault weapons". This is the kind of thing that we need to see to help prevent things like school shootings and mass tragedies. It is a really good thing which means we might be able to start to prevent these horrific things/events.
Home owners
Most homeowners in the U.S.A own guns. According to a survey taken among homeowners, 46% of homeowners in rural areas admit to owning a gun/guns, 28% of people in suburban areas admit to owning a gun/guns, and 19% of people in urban areas admit to owning a gun/guns. Most homeowners think that it is there right to own guns. (They aren't wrong) They also think that it is essential for them to own guns or it affects their personal sense of freedom.
Police officers
According to a survey taken by the National Association of Chiefs of Police. After polling more than 20,000 sheriffs and chiefs of police, the NACOP found that 86.4 percent support nationwide recognition of state-issued concealed weapon permits” and 76 percent believe that qualified, law-abiding armed citizens help law enforcement reduce violent criminal activity. Police have a different perspective than what we do because they are more affected by it than us. Especially since they are the ones having to respond to crimes involving weapons/ guns
Republican Party (U.S.A)
This is what a representative of the republican party said when asked about the topic. "This one We acknowledge the support and defend the law-abiding citizen's God-given right of self-defense. This also includes the right to obtain and store ammunition without registration. We believe the 2nd Amendment and all the rights guaranteed by it should enable law-abiding citizens throughout the country to own firearms in their homes for self-defense". Thay thinks it is a good thing to have an excess amount of ammunition for just home defense which you shouldn't need very much if you are actually trained to use a gun which most people possessing guns in the united states aren't.
Families
Some families are pro-gun like some families in places such as Kentucky but because they were so gun pro they bought their young son a gun and he ended up killing his little two-year-old sister with that very gun. I've read many stories such as this while working on this project but this one felt different. The child's parents bought that gun to teach him so encase something ever happened and he ended up killing his little helpless sister. I know that I'm giving a lot of my opinion in this section but I could never imagine showing a little kid how to use a gun until they were of the proper age to buy a gun themselves and go through a mental test to make sure they wouldn't do anything they would regret. But then, of course, there are families in the United States that are completely against guns that don't ever want their child touching one.
Canadians perspective(Not mine)
Gun control in America has been an issue for a long time, and no one is doing anything about it. There are tens of thousands of people that die a year from gun violence, and a lot of these deaths come from children getting their hands on guns and accidentally shooting themselves. This is just simply getting way out of hand and needs to be stopped immediately.
Criminals/Ex Criminals
Some criminals are a surprisingly anti-gun but they are the ones with less violent offenses (tax evasion, ext). Majority of criminals/ former criminals are gun pro saying that they want their gun to prevent something happening (Someone breaking into their home)
This all I could find on this part of the subject.
