'A parkland gateway and community hub'
Proposed
New walking and cycling crossings to connecting adjoining suburbs to the corridor
Upgraded community facilities (Destination Hub) - bike, canoe, kayak hire facilities and launch ramps, cafe, tour boat berthing.
PT and AT links between corridor, river, suburbs
Considerations
Change to car parking/road access arrangements
Change to park vegetation
Boat launching/Mooring facilities
Improved access for existing lessees
Questions
How is any of this proposed to be funded?
Through partnerships, development, various branches. E.g parks with new access/car park configuration
Purpose of new bridge connection, use existing bridge an option (funding) or western side to align with existing ATNP?
Luke mentioned CPO may be doing concept design for entire greenway (not progressed)
CPO/consultant are developing concept design
Access/parking for boat/canoe launching facilities will need to be considered
to be maintained at existing location from northern access
Bicycle hire ideas? Would require new provider (outside of existing city cycle scheme)
