- - - - • Rate the student for each period on the disrespectful behaviors.
        • Review the student’s daily behavior and marks with them in a productive manner, discussing how they felt they did, why, and what to change or do differently the next day, etc.
        • Send a copy of the form home for the parent to sign and review with the student weekly.
    - - • Begin with a simple FBA
        • If the simple FBA does not yield enough data and insight to determine the function of behavior, apply the intensive FBA.
        • When completing the FBA forms, gather information and data from Max’s records, parent, teachers, and any other staff that work with him
        • Once completed, develop a Behavior Intervention Plan (BIP) based on the data and results from the FBA.
    - - • Use a calm and neutral tone in a matter-of-fact way
        • Give Max choices, for example: you can either stop turning around and talking and complete your work, or you can sit in time out during recess, the choice is yours
        • Clearly state the privilege to be taken away, when it will occur, and for what duration
        • Discuss briefly with Max what he will need to do differently next time to keep his privilege
    - - I will use the behavior intervention data tracker when it moves to tier II. As this form is very clear, organized, and simple. Identify the most frequent disrespectful behaviors and interventions to address. Keep record of the frequency of the behavior and the interventions. The result summary will show by graphs immediately, which provides a clear understanding of Max’s behavior pattern, setting the guidance for individualized plan.
