Other Accommodations:
Students with prolonged absences may have an instructor deliver work to the student’s hospital or home. The nurse can provide specialized care such as medicine management, urinary catheterization and other health related care. Transitions are important also, transitioning from hospital to home, and from home back to class. These transitions may be jarring and scary, counselling may be needed. In the case of altered appearances the student will be instructed on how to answer difficult questions from teachers and peers, and instruct teachers to mediate these interactions.
