After Buddha's death, Three main Buddhists traditions became known Theravada, Mahayana, and Tibetan Buddhism.
Word of Buddhism was spread by trading companies. Much like Muhammed who spread the word of Islam while working as a popular trader.
Why did trade have a big impact on the learning or religion?
Due to the travel from all over traders will come far and wide as will you if you are a trader. Along with that journey it is known that relegion and beliefs are spread along with traders. Learning in these times there was little to no school. The most you could learn was from being a trader.
Works the same for Buddhism as in traders spread the word of the new religion on their travels.
What is Theravada?
Theravada is translated to (The School Of The Elders) This is a type of class which was the teachings of buddha. This study was based on How to meditate yourself into having only beneficial thoughts therefore keeping away bad karma and drawing in good Karma.
What is Mahayana?
Mahayana is translated to (Great Way) this is the teaching of how to make yourself most beneficial to the people around you. The teachings have you learn to meditate aiming for wisdom and compassion. The main purpose is to become enlightened for the benefit of all.
What is Tibetan
Tibetan Translates to (Diamond way) These people were a set separated form the others by how they portray confidence. The study was based on how they view Buddha as a mirror to their own mind as they are the elite and they can only improve the outside of themselves as the inside is already perfect.
