Flaherty - Graphic Novel Outline
Plot
A visual and uncomfortable representation of how it feels to have bad anxiety.
Jayden goes through cycles and different levels of anxiety, with the resolution that is him talking about how he feels about his anxiety and him coming to terms that maybe his focus can't be directly on the negatives of his life.
Protagonist
Jayden
Student at a public school.
Tends to feel alone, without many friends.
Once his mind starts drifting to all sorts of different topics, he will automatically get anxious from thinking too much.
Themes
Isolation
"Mental Unstableness"
Where thought is directed, and how that can change a person's mindset.
Anxiety
Setting
Takes place at school and home, showing the continuous routine of what it's like to be a student, with the addition of Jayden being a very anxious person.
Day by day, school is the one place we see Jayden spend most of his days.
Antagonist
Jayden's Mind (Anxiety)
Tends to have a pattern when and where the anxiety shows up, but extra worries about school-related stuff and other random thoughts would break up that pattern.
Given the evil, ever-looming thought that won't get out of Jayden's head.
