Intervening Dimensions
The field notes should not only include descriptions of what happens in a scenario, but also a record of the feelings, interpretations, intuitions, preconceptions of the researcher and future areas of inquiry.
Spaces and Subjects
A detailed description of the scenario and the position of the people within it provides important apprehensions about the nature of the participants' activities, their interaction patterns, their perspectives and ways of presenting themselves to others.
Formal Analysis
Perhaps the tentative reflection, which takes place from the collection of data, which produces the most important apprehensions; It may vary in the degree of complexity.
Observation and Interview Records
Gestures, nonverbal communications, tone of voice and speech speed help people interpret the meaning of their words.
