Theory of Mind
Illusion of perfect
A lot of people are striving for things which are not achievable.
We get false expectations which can leave us disappointed when they dont come true.
Perfection does not exist, but creates and intangible illusion
Perfection is an illusion
Body Language
Body language can be a door to a persons emotional state.
If a person sees you in your emotional state and the surroundings, it is much easier to form assumptions and understand how the person is feeling.
In some situations we can only grasp the surface of peoples emotions, but it is enough to make generalisations
Involuntary body language, helps us formulate assumptions
Through social contexts we have experienced before we can interpret body language
Thoughts, Feelings and Intentions
Thoughts and feelings are almost always unintentional
We make assumptions and conclusions based on what we have experienced before.
Intentions are the base of instincts and morals
Intuition
Because of what we have experienced before, we assume, because we believe that is right
"The ability to understand something instinctively, without the need for conscious reasoning"
Daily misinterpretation of social state, leads to social failures
Mental State
:warning:
"Social misses, big or small, are the norm rather than the exception in our daily lives."
Mental state can have an impact on how you read peoples mind. What you have experienced in your life, may have an impact on how you evaluate the situation
=Social Competence
