Rubius uploaded his first video to YouTube on April 3, 2006.
In late 2011 he uploaded a gameplay video in which he commented on situations from the video game The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, which would eventually go viral on the Internet and attract subscribers to his YouTube channel.
In 2012 he started uploading videos in which he participated in Chatroulette portal chats as an Internet troll. His channel became the first in Spain in number of subscribers in November 2012.
In March 2018 he organized a Fortnite video game tournament that brought together a hundred Hispanic speaking youtubers who came to assemble more than a million viewers, becoming the broadcast of a more viewed video game in history.
As of August 2019, The Rubius has more than 35 million subscribers on its YouTube channel and its videos have been seen more than 7500 million times.6 On the social network Twitter has more than 12 million followers and on Facebook more than 7 million.
