CYBER BULLYING
Who can you talk to if you or someone you know is being cyberbullied?
Answer: I think if I was being cyber bullied i would talk to a teacher i feel most comfortable with, maybe my mum/dad or even my best friend. The school counsellor can be a scary place to go some times, well for some people, so maybe working your way up to that with people who are close to you can be a starting point.
Answer: I'm not 100% sure but maybe a really close friend. If you don't have a close friend maybe a close teacher. If you don't have any of those people in your life. I think there is an online website that could help or kids matter or lifeline?
I don’t know. I don’t have many friends. I guess I can talk to my parents but they won’t really understand, and my older sister is popular so she won’t understand. Do you think I could talk to a teacher if I was ? Is that normal? Yeah I don’t know.
What is Cyber-bullying to you?
answer: Cyber bullying is something i am not personally familiar with. I have seen movies of it and "trolls" online but i have never fallen victim. Cyber bullying seems cruel to me, seems very unnecessary, i feel as though the people doing the bullying are hiding behind a screen.
answer: Cyberbullying to me means when someone is mean online . Other people can say mean and untrue things to you and about you and they wont stop even when you ask them to stop. Cyberbullies can troll you by emailing you nasty things or say untrue things about you to other people. I think the cyber bullies hide behind their computers . Some people like Dolly get so upset they commit suicide because they don''t know who to talk to or where to go.
Cyberbullying to me is when people say mean and hurtful things online. Sometimes you can get a mean text message. Gossiping or spreading rumours about someone online can also be a form. Having experienced Cyberbullying, when someone anonymously sent me a rude message about my brother, I replied to their message publicly to shame to get the coward back. I don’t know if this was the right thing to do.
Do you think Cyber bullying is stoppable?
I don't know if it is stoppable but I wish it was. I would like to see if we can stop it here in our school. I think if we all got together and said NO together it might work.
answer: i don't personally think we can stop cyber bullying completely but i think if we make people more aware of what it is and how to management, that will slowly stop it
As long as there are mean and cruel people out there in the world, Cyberbullying will be hard to stop. I hope for a better world and believe we can get there through kindness. We can start by being a nice person ourselves.
What can you do when you are being cyberbullied?
answer: i think if i was being cyber bullied i would; screen shot what is being written about me, block the person/s responsible, show the screenshots to someone i am comfortable around/ someone i trust and then maybe go get some chocolate to cheer me up haha
Answer: I think people can maybe talk to your friends if you feel you can. Maybe you could find a site online that can help people who are being cyber bullied. Some people could talk to a teacher or parents, but I don't think many would do that.
I know that cyber bullies are like real life bullies but just online. I’ll just ignore it. If they embarrass or attack my image then I’ll tell their parents. But if I it’s anonymous then I won’t know.
How can we stop Cyber Bullying in our school?
answer: i personally think to be able to stop cyber bullying, or slow it down at least, we need to make people more aware of what it is, looks like, feels like. I think doing something like what you guys are doing will really help with victims
I think the more we know about cyber bullying, the more we can do to stop it. I think asking around like your group is doing will help us as we can learn about it and what to do if it happens to us or our friends.
Two things come to mind. Block, and delete. These things can prevent you from being involved in bullying and silence bullies. Don’t give them power in our school. Maybe we can add anti cyberbullying to our school culture
