Definition
Cancer that formed in a type of white blood cells called plasma cells.
Causes
The cells multiply rapidly
Increased in age as a risk factor
but doctors know that it begins with one abnormal plasma cells
History of monoclonal gammopathy of undetermined significance.
The cause unknown clear
Pathophysiology
Accumulate in the bone marrow
where taking out healthy blood cells
Occurs when cancer cells
Also cancer cells producing abnormal protein
which turn to cause kidney problems.
Pharmachological
Effect
Corticosteroids I.e prednisone and dexamethasone
Biological therapy I.e thalidomide
Nursing Intervetion
Encourage ambulation
Provide the skeletal support
Force the fluids
Monitor renal function such dialysis may be necessary.
Administer medicine as ordered e.e analgesia and antibiotics.
