DEFINITION
Is the cancer that begins in the gallbladder
CAUSES
Cancer forms when healthy gallbladder cells develop changes in their DNA
Accumulating cells form a tumor that can grow beyond the gallbladder
Most gallbladder cancer begins in the glandular cells
RISK FACTORS
Gender i. e is more common in women
A history of gallstones
Age
Other gallbladder diseases and conditions
SYMPTOMS
Fever
Losing weight
Abnormal bleeding
Nausea
Abdominal pain, in the upper right portion of the abdomen
Jaundice
