It spread the risk of loss of money and possible by travel among more people instead of just one person.
The Enclosure Movement
Made many farmers into beggars on the streets.
The begging farmers signed up to be indentured servants to go and populate the new world because it was better than starving on the streets.
Forced Farmers off their land so the rich could have it for their sheep.
Led to eventual wool depression because they had more sheep than needed, putting more farmers out of jobs and giving them a reason to move to America.
Religious Persecution and need to spread
Puritans in England were discriminated against for having different religious views so they moved to the New World.
The first group of people to move to the New World were Puritans on the Mayflower and they populated Plymouth Rock in 1620.
King James l made the Virginia Company to spread christianity to the Indians.
The Defeat of the Spanish Armada
The Spanish who used to be considered the most powerful were now considered just a simple Divine Wind.
