A drug extracted from a plant from South America. It comes in several forms but is usually seen as a white powder. Inhaling or injecting the drug leads to a "rush" of euphoria caused by the release of dopamine, serotonin and noradrenaline, which is blocked from being reabsorbed. Once the coke is gone, users experience a "crash" when there is an absence of neurotransmitters in the synapse. This leads to depression, nausea, anger, tremors and exhaustion. Lon-term effects can include hallucinations, eating disorders, hypertension and psychosis
