Rate of Reaction
In order for a chemical reaction to occur (atoms in molecules are rearranged), particles of that reaction must collide together with sufficient energy. That means that the reaction will only be effective if the amount of kinetic energy surpasses its activation energy and is oriented in the right way.
As the number of reactions per second increase, the rate of reaction will also increase.
Change
Surface Area
More collisions between the atoms, which means it'll react faster.
Concentration
There is more particles in the same volume, which means they're much more likely to collide.
Temperature
Changing the temperature will increase the energy in particles, which means there will be more collisions. More collisions are occurring above activation energy. More effective collisions = higher reaction rate
Use Catalyst
Lowers required activation energy. Thus, more effective collisions
