Input devices
An input device is any piece of computer hardware used to provide data to a computer system. An input device can be divided into these two categories- Manual and Indirect

Indirect input devices- Data is input into a device directly by a machine and therefore you do not have to do any work
Some examples are- Magnetic stripe reader, chip and PIN reader, Barcode reader
An output device is any piece of computer hardware used to communicate the results of data that has been processed.
Examples of this are- Laser printer, Multimedia projector, Speakers, CRT monitor, Plotter.
A storage device is a piece of computer equipment which can be used to store data. Data can be stored in either the internal memory, storage devices, or on the cloud.
Internal memory- there are 3 types- ROM, RAM and Hard disk.

• Permanent, long term memory and nothing can be erased.
