ATROPINE SULPHATE EYE DROPS

Mechanism action
It blocks the action of acetylcholine, neurotransmitter that causes contraction of smooth muscle .
Indication
It is used to weaken contraction of the muscle within the eye.
Both muscles that operate iris and lens.
Used to treat iritis.

Contraindications
It is contraindicated into patient with high blood pressure.
Not be used by patient with known hypersensitivity.
Contraindicated with glaucoma or tendency to glaucoma.

Dosage
For pupil dilation in adults: 1 to 2 drops in the eye,
1 hour before the procedure.
For inflammatory conditions: 1 to 2 drops 4 times a day.
Storage
Can be stored in refrigerator or at room temperature of 25'C
It must be stored away from heat and light.
