Jane Eyre

After Jane's parents died she was sent to live with her aunt.

Aged 10 Jane got sent to Lowood - a boarding school for girls. Jane found a friend in one of the older girls who then died of consumption.

At age 17 Jane leaved Lowood as a pupil but then is hired there as a teacher.

Growing bored of Lowood Jane seeked employment elsewhere and was quickly hired to be a governess at a house far away.

Jane leaves Lowood and takes the journey to Thornfield hall. She meet her pupil Adele who was a very energetic french girl.

On her way into town to mail some letters, Jane was startled by a horse who bucked off its rider who was an ugly man who is very rude and refused help.

When she returned to the house Jane was surprised to find out that the master of the house, (Mr Rochester) had returned from his travels and wished to see her. When she was called to his presence she was shocked to find out he is the same man she encountered on the road.

Mr Rochester's bedroom was mysteriously set on fire in the middle of the night and Jane came to his rescue.

Mr Rochester hosted a party and Jane got jealous of Blanche Ingram who was very beautiful and very rich. It was rumored the Mr Rochester intended to marry Blanche.

Mr Rochester revealed to Jane that he started the rumors to make her jealous. They kissed.

Mr Rochester asked Jane to marry him and she accepted.

The night before the wedding Jane awokes to a strange looking woman ripping up her wedding veil.

During the wedding, a stranger announced that the wedding could not continue becuase Mr Rochester was already married. We later find out that the woman was the same one who ripped up Jane's veil and set Mr Rochester's bedroom on fire. She went insane so Mr Rochester locked her up in the house many years ago.

Shocked by the sudden ending to her wedding Jane ranaway.

After walking for days Jane was found half-frozen by a man named Mr St John. He opened his house to her and she stayed for a month and made friends with his sisters.

Mr St John got her a job as a head mistress at a local girls school.

After a long time of working at the school Jane decided to leave and go back to see Mr Rochester.

However, when Jane reached Thornfield all she found was a pile of rubble and ash. She was informed that no one died. However, Mr Rochester's insane wife jumped off the roof and It was thought that she started the fire.

Jane went to see Mr Rochester at the house where he is staying and he greeted her warmly. Now that his wife was dead they were free to get married and they lived happily ever after!
