Dementia Care Mapping
Dementia care mapping is an observation tool designed at Bradford University to examine the quality of care from the perspective of the person with dementia, with the aim of promoting patient-focused holistic practices.
Blackfriars Consensus
The Blackfriars Consensus was developed after a meeting in London in January, 2014, hosted by the UK Health Forum and Public Health England, and is supported by 60 experts and organisations in dementia and non-communicable diseases (NCD) prevention.
Effective approaches to prevent NCDs should integrate the potential to improve brain health in populations, thus helping to mitigate the anticipated increase in need for health and social care services due to population ageing.

‘John’s Campaign'
the right of people who care for someone living with dementia to be able to stay with them – and the right of people with dementia to be able to have a family carer stay with them. It applies to all hospital settings: acute, community, mental health and its principles could extend to all other caring institutions where people are living away from those closest to them.
The Dementia Action Alliance brings together organisations across England committed to transforming health and social care outcomes for people affected by dementia.
