How Can The Religions Of The Middle East (Judaism, Christianity, And Islam) Dialogue To Bring World Peace?
Text to Faith:Why is dialogue important for these faiths? What similar beliefs, rituals, origins do the Abrahamic faiths share?
Dialogue is important between these faiths because it is important that events that occurred in the pat, don't repeat. Throughout history we've seen many instances where these religions broke out into wars due to differences among beliefs and opinions.

Zionist Movement: During this time, relations between Jewish and Muslim people were tense as there was fighting over Israel.
During Islamic expansion, Christians felt threatened as Christian places of worship were taking over. This resulted in the Pope sending out crusades and Muslims were forced into Spain. This led to many fights between Christians and Muslims in Nigeria, Sudan, Iraq, and Indonesia (The Origins of the Abrahamic Faiths)
The Abrahamic faiths have many similarities, the major one being, they all believe in one God and their foundation of Abraham's story
Jesus plays a role in all three faiths. Although more predominant in Christianity, Jewish and Muslim people believe that Jesus was a great teacher and include his messages in their teachings
All follow a set of moral rules. For Christians, these are the ten commandments and the Beatitudes. For Judaism, these are the ten commandments. For Islam, these are the Shariah
Holy days are spent with families, reflecting on faith and love for God. It is vital and a core value for these religions to have love and happiness in life

Text to Self: What are some examples from my own life of how I dialogue with other faiths to bring world peace?
Similarly to the connection I made to my last summative to the We Charity and working together with peers of different faiths, another school initiative I participated in this past year was Relay for Life. This organization fundraises money for cancer research and as many schools do, our school took part. Through working together as a collective whole of diversity and an interreligious community. By working together, we recognize our differences, but come as a united group of peaceful interaction for a good cause
Text to World: What are some examples of people of the Abrahamic Faiths in the world who dialogue to bring world peace?
