Special circumstances:
- JNC8: some need more lenient BP, everyone needs more lenient BP!
- End of life :older_man::skin-tone-4:pts, don't medicate so much
- Dialysis: don't medicate so much, and use dry weight BP so they don't tank during dialysis.
- Dysfunctional autonomic symptoms: Elderly & DM pts (orthostatic hypotension) take BP while standing.

- eating: < 0.4g NaCl/day, DASH diet, K :banana:supplementation (citrus fruit), stop EtOH :beer: (2x :beer:/ :male_sign:, 1x :beer: / :female_sign:)
- exercise: 30 min/day; 2hrs/week (goal)
- weight loss: if obese or overweight (BMI >25) need to lose weight
Disregard mmHg drops per lb lost.
